Liam Henry out for a few weeks with a knee injury. Will be interesting to see who steps into the rotation. This time last year it was Patea but he seems to have fallen back a bit and i think our depth is better. I think the options are Crosby, Ale, Patea and Phillips. Crosby i cant really judge off that cows trial, did see a couple runs were he looked to get the legs driving. Ale looks like solid depth, can do a job off the bench. For me given that i dont know much about crosby, id be picking phillip or Patea. Patea had a couple errors with the ball in the tigers trial but he defended really well, i havent looked at his numbers but he seemed to play a decent stint. I got a bit of confidence in both patea and phillips when we defended those 3 or 4 sets on our line with patea, yeo. phillips in the middle and turned them away. Phillips looks to have gained some strength in the offseason, he was getting some post contact metres. He is a rock solid defender and pretty skilled for a middle, im keen to see what he would do with some minutes.
