Round three vs The Storm

Great performance and win but not playing 2 actual fullbacks at 1 and playing May was insane

Hopefully it doesn't occur next week. I'd pick Salmon or Jennings on the wing and Staines to the back.

Staines did play a crucial role I guess. If May plays centre and Momo wing are we stopping the Storm left side? Hard to know.

Great game
We struggled with there speed 1st half but got them in the end.Spencer is defiantly going to be a real talent.Kenny while he not api he does the job
May Cant be fullback next week we need him at that utility position for instances where we get injuries

Great win particularly considering we were missing 3/4 of our spine. Regardless of the win I think it was a massive mistake by Ivan to put May at fullback when Staines or Crichton could play there. Either way I am so pumped we beat those grubs!

That was an incredibly high quality game, especially for this early in the season. Melbourne were primed for this type of game after facing the Rabbits and Eels, whereas our draw has been softer thus far.

All things considered, including the short turnaround and player unavailability, this was a very good win.

Interesting that Burton and Luai swapped sides very late in the game, trying to get that left side combination going.

May to Fullback was the right move for mine. You want specialist centres defending against Melbourne. We learnt that the hard way in the GF. Storm are very good at stacking numbers on the edges.

The physicality of the game may take its toll, not only with Edwards being out for a while, but maybe Leniu as well.

Thought both Burton and Luai failed to get their hands on the ball enough, kinda seemed like they were confused as to who was in charge (outside of the kicking).

That final play from Kikau was special.

Luai was definitely off tonight.

Such bad luck for Dylan, they didn’t sound sure apparently it happened in the first few minutes and he played the half. Hand fracture seems like it could be tricky, i fractured a tiny wrist bone and it hurt and was swollen as f**k in 2 mins.

Great win tho, Jerome stepped up in that second half quite a lot. Burton had one or two iffy moments but overall lived up to the hype.

I doubt May will be there next week but he did bloody well.

Good win, Jerome should have been on the left the whole game.

Too many half chances were missed which he would have nailed.

I actually agree with May at fullback as I think Melbourne are a better chance of shredding the edges with a reshuffle.

Great win, I’ll need to rewatch that to give my full thoughts.

but a few things, I thought Staines was great tonight. Saved two tries, scored one.

Burton’s kicking was very good

Tyrone May isn’t a fullback, looked very tentative defusing kicks. That needs to change next week if Edwards is out.

And a massive play to save that try by Kikau. Huge.

Maybe Charlie at fullback, Momo on the wing, and Burton at centre?

Cleary back means Burton will start somewhere in the backline
