On Offsiders yesterday, Roy referred to Bennett's opinion that players wanting to switch nations like JT13 and Fafita should stand down for 3yrs before the switch.

Roy turned it back on him, suggesting WB take his own advice before switching to coach England. LOL!

I agree with Wayne's sentiments to be honest. 3 years is probably pushing it though.

At the beginning of world cup qualifiers, all players must elect which nation they are going to be available for.

For the duration of the qualifiers until the end of the world cup, that player can only play for that nation.

Stupid argument, coaches are employees, they are hired by national bodies to coach players representing their nations. Players shouldn't be allowed to pick & choose which country they feel like playing for at the drop of a hat, it's not club football.

Wish there was a dislike option on here. Of course players should be allowed to play for T2 nations if not selected for T1 countries.

Though would like it to be parents only, no grandparent rule, except in certain circumstances.

I’d make it you have to play in the qualifiers, with a couple of wild card spots. We need players not picked for tier 1 to be playing at end of day.

It's a Mickey Mouse tournament - players should be able to turn out for which ever nation they want to as long as they have the appropriate eligibility connections. The more NRL players the better.

Get rid of grandparent rule to start with.

Then lets see another WC cycle and make a decision.

I don't believe we're still talking about eligibility rules ffs, the change was one of the biggest successes of the tournament
