I think this is excellent news and I do hope others follow suit. I would also love to see this happen on an international scale too. Because it's one of those things, the longer you leave it, the more time passes, ex-players pass away etc, records/photos and all the rest are lost. I do hope efforts are made before it's too late. The Rugby League Project site is a good start, but is still only scratching the surface in many ways.

A fantastic move. Being involved in the Diehards Heritage Project, I enjoy being part of researching and sharing the history for current and future fans to enjoy.

I hope we see many more such appointments and projects.

Most clubs have historians but they are usually volunteers and unofficial (because clubs don't give a shit about preserving or recording their history).

Well done Canberra. Letd hope all clubs follow suit (and i get a job out of it lol)
