If the two pro leagues adopt the same rule changes (six-again instead of a penalty for example), does it then automatically flow on to the international game?

I know that the answer is that the RLIF have to ratify the change but does that happen basically automatically if the NRL and RFL have made the change as the RLIF is still not truly an independent power in the game.

Six more and no scrums!!! Players will be out on their feet after twenty minutes, especially if games are played in high temperatures (yes we do get hot days in the U.K.).

A reduction on the possibility of scrums is an interesting one.
I've long been an advocate for the scrum to be given the flick but we've already seen some glimmers of it becoming the catalyst for more complex backline set-plays in the NRL...
I wouldn't be too zealous to punt it completely just yet...

I would think they go through the necessary channels but knowing it’s just a box ticking exercise.
