Instead of creating a thread for this one instance i figure that anyone with similar experiences can post here.
Image on the main page of the Brisbane times website using a Steeden football with the NRL logo on it on a story about serious injuries occurring during scrums at schoolboy rugby union matches.

emailed the author with
"Is there a particular reason you have used an image of a Steeden football with the NRL logo on it in relation to a story about serious injuries occurring during schoolboy rugby Union matches?
Surely you have a stock image of a rugby union ball? I’d suggest a change"
received a reply saying 'thanks for the email ' wasn't automated as she addressed me by name but no mention of a change
Minor issue i know but still i feel as though unless these instances are pointed out we will never change the way the sport is perceived/treated.
