RLIF are creating a website

Should be released this month more details on the World Cup after the

RLIF recieving plenty of pressure from all nations so they can start preparing.

Cambelltown and Parramatta look set for the Tonga v Samoa match with NRL players on October 7.

PNG SP Cup Sponsors are to increase from 8 teams to 10 next year as they want a competitive National side.

Also they are looking into having a side in the Qld Cup

Plans are in place for Belgium to start league

World U16's games will go ahead with 8 teams: Australia, Cook Islands, Italy, Russia and France have confirmed. Georgia and one other home nations are wexpected to play. The final spot could be etheir Serbia, fiji or a second russian team.

Samoa have asked the ARL to play the Kangaroos prior to Aussie going to the UK for the Tri Nations.

USA are planning to expand to Arizona, Califorina, Colorado, Nevada, Oregan, Washington, Utah, New Mexico and Idaho.

Mmm fantastic news. A match between some Tongan and Samoan grandparent rule players in western Sydney is sure to take Tonga and Samoa by storm.

PNG are doing everything right in order to be competitive for the 2008 WC!

.....and good on all the RL nations pressuring the RLEF about more WC announcements

Things are looking up for International Rugby League...:D

Not by a long shot, maybe one or two out of the 17 if that.

Yes you do, but starting in Parramatta rather than Tonga is a funny place to start.

The RLIF website isn't being built yet. The US stuff is old crap rehashed. Samoa playing the Kangaroos, I bloody hope not. Tonga and Fiji are both far more deserving.

i agree totally. what good is this for the game in tonga and samoa if the game is being played in the western suburbs of sydney in front on 2000 people?
get the games to the islands, with legit nrl stars along with local stars to form a truly national team. not a bunch of people representing the country of their grandparents or parents, who probably consider themselves australian anyway but arent good enough to play origin or for australia. why dont we do this properly????

The sad thing is possibly only a couple of those points have any real truth behind them.....

Anyone thats been on Rugby league forums for a few years will find many of those points familiar.

They should have thrown in the South African competition thats "Comming Soon" because that would have rounded out the B.S. really.

You know, two or three years ago I believed this type of news. But not any more.

Ive just have a gut full of these fantasies people make up about the international game.

'Planning to' and 'hoping to' are RL notions we should all be inured to by now! Let's read about 'did' and 'occurred'.

Why hasn't the Windies started yet? Why no Med Cup news? Dates for the U-16s confirmed?

Excuse the cynicism, but it's an imperative for int'list leaguies.....

I remember about two years ago someone on RLeague was talking about League in the West Indies.

I said it was a load of ****, that it was probably just a bunch of people in Sydney and their meetings consisted of getting pizza and watching the football.

Of course, people bagged me and the person that said they were involved in setting the game up over there started to p*ss and moan.
