Just some more rumours. I have heard there is nothing to it and Vidot is very happy in Canberra. As stated by Croker and Ferguson today, all the Raiders youngsters want to stay long term and the players coming off contract at the end of 2012, are looking to have their contracts renewed.

There is quite possibly some interest in him but I'm confident he'll be a Canberra player long term.

Croker too, the club has said they have no intentions on releasing Vidot early, so you can wait until 2012 for a crack at him, by then he'll have worked his way back into our team and be happily part of a team going places... dream on sharkies.

You may be right but the quotes in that story are meaningless. Ferguson was never goin to come out and say he hates in Canberra and wants out until another deal is done.

I hope you retain Croker as it is always good to see clubs retain players they develop.

Ferguson was a big loss for us and the way he conducted himself as very ordinary. He has been good for you this year and will be a special player.

There was some talk earlier that Ferguson, Croker, Dugan et.c were already in talks with Raiders management about a contract extension, and they were looking at this during the first bye week. By what he has said, this has proven to be the case.

I doubt he'd come out and say he is in talks with the club about an extension.... if he wasn't. :lol:

I think so... yes. We are offloading some of the dead wood in our team eg. Miller, Galea, Waddell, Milne and my bet is Orford will go at the end of this season, while Tongue may retire at the end of next. That would free up a lot of money to keep the younger lads.

Our recruiting and retention team are one of the best in the league IMO and they wouldn't have planned to throw in all these players from Toyota Cup if they knew they had to release them in the coming years. Though the results on the field aren't positive ATM, they will eventuate.
