Why would manly give him a get out clause at the end of next year when it's known already that Hasler won't be there. I would say t's either a 1 year deal with an option in his favour for a second or it's bullsh1t

FFS this site is about sharing thoughts, links, rumours and opinions about the Eels.

Boxy, I say you can post any rumour you like in the rumour thread and that perhaps any merkin who doesn't like it should steer clear of this thread altogether.

Maybe that's the only way they could get him to sign.

Manly are desperate to give their fans some good news at the moment, even if that good news amounts to nothing more than a 1 year extension for a Kangaroo who played pretty well today.

Option in his favour = 1 year contract

Player options effectively hold the club to ransom - they're only ever exercised when a player receives zero interest from clubs in the contract's final year (e.g. Mortimer).

Most big stars have player options, while plenty of fringe players have club options in their final year. An option on a contract is worth a lot of money to the party who holds the option. Often it's used to bargain the value of a contract up or down (for club and player options, respectively).

Sbw=eels 2013/ 4yr deal

He will be 27 at the start of 2013, meaning he'd be 31 at the end of that 4 year contract.

Would probably end up being the prime of his career, though I'll wait until it's announced before ejaculating all over myself.

Saw he got sin-binned for a shoulder charge today. He's really in the wrong game.

Not to mention that Welshman that got sent off last night for a cracking tackle. Rugby is soft.

I dont like us signing all these guys on big money that have been away from the Nrl for a long period of time. Hopoate and SBW might come back as useless as Tahu when he came back from union. I would rather do what the cowboys did and sign up the best juniors such as Tariq Sims and Kalifa Faifai Loa. I am excited with what SK and Nolan are doing with the club, just hate to see us lose good players cause $BW has taken a huge chunk of the cap!
