It pained me to watch Manly for a few minutes, but geez he is a special talent. Must be first picked in the centres... Possibly fullback?

Was gonna say the exact same thing.....plus Hoppa hasn't had to come back from major knee injuries

Yeah but on the other hand Hoppa hasn't been doing full time training for 2 years. Loko may have had a couple of rounds of surgery and limited training, but the training staff would still be making him work hard in the gym all week to keep his strength, playing weight, and fitness up until he could physically run again.

Realistically, Hoppa could come back 10kgs lighter, somewhat unfit (for professional sporting standards) and it could take him an entire off season and even more just to get his body back in shape to play NRL let alone be the same player he was when he left the game. Let's just hope he comes back quickly though.

havn't we been sending Hoppa training schedules and he himself has said he has put aside time to keep up his fitness etc and even we had a trainer go up there if remember correctly.

I'd say the only thing Hoppa will be behind in is general ball skills etc but that will be sorted in 3-4 months of pre-season training

You could be right. No doubt he'd be trying to keep his fitness up, these Mormon Missionary rules are very strict though. He'd have rules as to what exercises he can do, when, and how often. The same would go with his diet. So it's very likely he'll come back a bit out of shape and we shouldn't expect otherwise.

Is Tolman really what we need??? He is a good player with a good motor but does he really bend the line and get the opposition on the back foot??? Plus he wouldn't come cheap, he would be an upgrade not denying that but it wouldn't take much to upgrade our pack.

With Mannah and Lussik I doubt we need to spend big money on props! A couple of cheap meat heads should do.

I think Tolman would be a great pickup. 7/8 years of high quality playing ahead of him with a lot of experience already. Leaves Lussick to develop into the aggressive, explosive front rower.

Ryan James looks like he would have been great if Ricky had of been successful in the off season. Would have been dirt cheap - each game at the moment he would be going up in price.
