Don't tell me we were holding out on releasing Shack to Penrith, in the hope of pressuring them into releasing Lewis to us?

So what's the story with our cap for this year? If we could make a play for Lewis, that suggests we have a fair bit left to throw at someone if they can get a release for the rest of this year. But it would have to be completed today or tomorrow.

I thought the reason we were trying to ditch Poore was so that we could get Lewis.

I don't see how it works out with Shack leaving to be honest? Unless Penrith pay some of his wage for the remainder of the year (which I can't see happening).

I haven't seen much of NSW cup this year but isn't he leading the whole comp for player of the year award and also playing for residents in the curtain raiser to SOO next week? He must be doing something right if both are the case. Seems silly to release him now but good luck to him at Penrith.

I remember reading somewhere that we only at 30K of this years salary cap, we have picked up Kelly so maybe dropping shack gets us the doe to pay Kelly in this years cap?

Penrith would have to be contributing something otherwise why wouldn't we have let him go to Manly (spite, I know, but prolly not), I assume this deal had to be better for us?!

Maybe we let him go to penrith because we don't play against them again so we won't be paying a bloke to pay against us. That's unless penrith are paying full freight

Maybe in 1995 dickhead. With 75% of Australians now using the internet

To make 17000 posts on a messageboard? This isn't f**kbook or whatever the cool kids are doing these days.

This is a stupid place to call someone else out on being a nerd, Gronk.

I think the comment about 'penrith paying some of his wages' was with reference to Lewis if he came to Parra. Regarding Shacks, of course Penrith are paying some (if not all) of his wages for the balance of this year (absolutely zero point releasing him otherwise).
