Don't be surprised to see Ricky Stuart add failed AFL glamour boy Isreal Folau to his shopping list for 2013. Folau now lives not far from Eels territory and has close links to Stuart, having played under him in the Australian Test team in 2007 and 2008. It's no secret Folau is missing league and his big money move to the AFL - while a public relations coup - has been a disaster on the field.

Dan's a man in demand

Former Eels and Warriors coach Daniel Anderson is attracting interest from a couple of struggling NRL clubs. Anderson - whose remarkable fear in getting Parra to a grand final three years ago can now been seen in true perspective - is currently working for ABC Radio but don't be surprised to see him back in charge of an NRL team - in 2014 if not next season.

The 'Eels chase Shane Flanagan' story that did the rounds last week was in fact a ruse by Parra officials to weed out a leak within the club. Officials told one club insider about the story - which was a complete falsehood - and watched as it quickly hit the Sunday papers. The leak has now been officially plugged.

Ricky's health check

Old habits die hard for new Eels coach Ricky Stuart. Only hours after formally signing with Parra, 'Sticky' was spotted in the Titans sheds after last Friday night's win against the Roosters, checking on the health of injured Blues Origin star Greg Bird. Word is the Eels board considered bringing in Stuart immediately, but opted against it because they thought Brad Arthur would be better suited to finish the season at the helm.

Our backline next year will be Sio Morgan Tonga Blair and then there hoppa to squeeze in there somewhere and maybe Loko?.Unless people dont think a few of them are worthy of first grade?And also more than likely by 2014 there will be another good junior coming thru
