I got no problem with people having a whinge. I'm more than happy to put the boot in on the issues that i think we really f**k up (and there's no shortage of ammunition). But....focussing only on the bad stuff helps nobody. Recognising the things that we have improved is not the same as making excuses. We haven't been good enough at any level (management / coaching / development / retention / playing) for a long time.

I don't often put the boot in here simply because I know this site gets read by the media and why give them any fodder. If I have something negative to say, I contact the club and let them have it directly and I have some decent contacts in there so I'd like to think it helps in some small way.

If that give people on here the idea I am an apologist for the club and accept mediocrity so what. I sleep at night knowing I have done the right thing.

Am I the only person who feels these issues are being addressed and improvements are being made?
Management. Possibly
Coaching. Definitely
Development. Improving
Retention. Definitely
Playing. Definitely
You forgot Recruitment. Definitely.

I think this is a big year for Peats....He was great in his first 10 games for us in 2014, but i was not that impressed by him this year. I actually thought de gois offered more. He needs to tackle less and run more. Could be the year he becomes NSW next hooker or the year he loses his spot to a hungry Kaysa/King. Time will tell.

Couldn't agree more but that wasn't my point.
Ram gets hammered because he tells it how it is.
He gets criticised because he's claimed to be a perennial whinger.
Yet, those who whinge are considered pathetic because they dare criticise the way the club is run.
Bigfella is another example of a poster who put's it on the line.
Hineyrulz also gets hammered.
You make a valid point though. Anyone who complains - their points on here are useless. It won't change a thing. You are right.
But, why should that stop them from making their point, and why is their point any less valid?
It's not, and you know it.

Suity

Yeah. I don't have a problem with people complaining and agree entirely with you.

I do wonder though whether they really know how to fix the problems that they are complaining about. If they don't, then it isn't really helpful feedback but if they feel good after they have gotten it off their chest then more power to them.

Agreed Suity. I put shit on whingers because I f**king hate whinging. I hate it so much I'm happy to whinge about it.

I guess some people hate optimism just as much. We can't help how we feel. That's why people can't get along.
Whinging Optimus merkin ;-)

Thanks mate.

I am just sick of these people who apparently are big supporters of the club, trying to bring anyone down who is associated with the club when they are not.

Now I know the current people in charge are not perfect. I know you should not sit back and get fu*ked over and do nothing about it. But if you can take the club to court over some (IMO pointless) stuff, you are really not fit to build up the club if on the other hand can so easily, willingly bring it down.
Great post.

These so called Parra fans that love the club so much but are happy to tear it down because they can't run the club.

We all know who they are.

Yep, was aware of that.
Lets see what BA comes up with, game plan and all.
Just feel that 4 strong forwards on the bench, one a utility, is the way to go.
The reduced interchange rule coming in next season is going to be taxing on all the players, particularly forwards.

That's the way I would lean, Casper. I think it will take coaches some time and some trial and error before they work out which way to go.
Maybe some clubs will opt for an extra hooker or half and some will go with four forwards. It might suit different teams differently depending on how they play and depending on what types of halves they already have.

Agreed.

Based on that one game, Nelson showed that he is a classy utility and if he can maintain and even improve on that standard, week in, week out, then he should be our utility on the bench. Awesome defender/work-horse. Strong off both shoulders. Not slow either and can pass well from either side. Very impressed.

Good points.

Agree with your post except for the following.... "Just enjoy being the underdog."
Mate, there's only so long anyone can enjoy being that.
That's why I appreciate Ram's posts.
He's had enough of being lame.
I get the impression that there's only so much crap some fans can take.
We SHOULD be a powerhouse, but the year after year of pathetic management of this organisation has been nothing more than an embarrassment to the NRL.
I don't blame RAM for his posts. He's one of the few on this site to actually tell it how it is.
In the meantime, lame pricks continue to defend the inadequate running of this potentially mighty club.
We have such a huge following, yet it is being bastardised by the clowns running the show.

Not good enough.

 Well said!

As a long-suffering fan, I completely agree with your sentiments. I was about to turn my back on this club a year ago. But we actually seem to be on the improve in many areas. The temptation is to get stuck in a rut and keep on bagging out the management long after they've actually improved things. It's hard being a Parra fan - but it can be exciting.
