I can see them ending just being anthony Milford, Matt lodge and the PNG hunters as their squad

They'll nab some big names. Money will be too good to pass up. But they won't stay for very long. Similar problem to what Perth will have except worse.

The success of the Perth and PNG bids will be dependent on getting the grassroots sorted out. Unlike Redcliffe/Brisbane these two places don't have the same setup. Its a long-term project whereas the Dolphins were a success from their first game.

Higher ceiling imo, but less heart. Better on the wing too.

Look with my head I'd agree, but I think hes a supreme talent and I'd like to see how he'd go in our system.
An absolute glory hunter. Does not like the hard carries. His stats are not good. Likes to get on the end of everyone elses hard work and score the soft tries. Does NOT fit our team ethos. Defence also not great.

Eh Sloan.

Huge talent. But I don't rate his attitude at all. Me first not team first.

If he ever pulls his finger out he would make a very dangerous fullback. Not sure he ever will.

The Wests Tigers have been dealt another “kick in the guts”, with young hooker Tallyn da Silva set to join a long list of juniors who have left the club in the past decade.

Fox League’s James Hooper reported on Wednesday night that Silva is a chance of being released from the club before the June 30 deadline, having met with three rival NRL coaches.

Todd Payten, Jason Ryles, Anthony Seibold have already sat down with da Silva while the Tigers hooker is set to meet Newcastle coach Adam O’Brien on Saturday.

---

Trade him for Kepaoa? He has been injured but fair to say he is down the pecking order too. We've got Alamoti waiting as well as Laurie and Jesse McLean.

Rumour is he is asking $600k a year.

He would be a good pick up. Kepaoa is being left to wither on vine here, so no point keeping him. Throw in Soni Luke as well for shits and gigs. Get it done Ivan.

$600k??? Christ.

Asu can find the line. 9 games and 11 tries this year. Some good numbers and he has a good build for football.

Missed rounds 9 to 15. Quite unlucky. If he was fit for our game in Bathurst against Newcastle he may have gotten a look in that night.

With the salary cap having risen so much recently we need to recalibrate expectations on what players are worth. $600k for a young, talented spine player feels about right if you can back your development to bring him on further and sign him for a few years (and then convince yourself he won’t agitate for more dosh if he outperforms his contract).
