I think he and Lindsay will both play origin. Very determined guys that are so focused on improving. Big season for them both this year

I personally think they are a bit ploddish at this stage. Compared to others in the pack who have more thrust. They seem more workmen like but Lindsay improved so much this year. In 2023 grand fi al he looked out of place but in 2024 he was such a better player.
I forget Liam was a rookie. I don't think we will see the best of him untill 2026 onwards.
I hope both play origin in future..

I still don’t understand what people mean by ploddish.

Is a rookie who is told to make all his tackles and limit your mistakes, Ploddish? It’s such a strange term. I’d consider someone unable to make it as NRL player to be a plod.

These are two young blokes who are in the top 17 of one of the most dominant NRL clubs ever.

I should say not damaging runners of the ball or tough like Leota and JFH for example.
I think both however will continue to improve. Henry had a very good rookie year.

2026 would not surprise me as Smith/Henry starters and Moses back to the bench to provide impact

i dont mind Lodge personally on the field - but we certainly dont need him - we have younger better options and do not need the drama that will forever plague him.

struggling clubs he could certainly play a role at, i think he does provide genuine impact - but his off field antics- he's just not worth the risk

Henry & Smith are our future - they are good players but wont command elite money like a JFH.

Leota is sowed up and will play out his career here, unless he desires a release from the club which i think the club would grant from 2026 and onwards.

Patea will replace Leota's spot you would think, and we have a general consensus here that Marto or Yeo will go into the front row at some stage come 2027/28 & onwards

Eisenhuth is plod, basically a guy not good enough to be top 17, but can fill a hole when needed. Every team needs a few plodders. And Huth is as reliable as they come and on the top shelf of plod, worth every cent we are paying him.

Plod usually doesn't apply to a bloke who's last game was for Australia. They are just young, nothing really plod about either of them.

Lindsay Smith I just don't rate that highly yet.
But I still think he is a decent NRL level player. But he is 25 now so about to enter his best years.
Henry is still just 23. Unsure his ceiling but he improved as season went on.
Still when Leota and JFH where subbed I reckon it was noticeable and also noticeable when they returned.

2025 will show Lindsay up like a newly minted penny. On the back of playing for Australia he will hit top gear, if he remains healthy.

Nothing plod about either of those 2 players.

I like then both. But I'm talking about replacing JFH. Unsure either are able to get to that level.
Neither really break tackles or skittle the defense.

Hell no. Forget the New York incident, and just look at how long he stays anywhere. The guy clearly has issues that go deeper than the obvious.
And others. I personally know his former partner. Lodge should have been incarcerated. That's all I'm going to say.

Yeah, I've heard a few stories. A guy I used to deal with regularly at work told me a few stories. His son was in a relationship with Lodge's sister. Special kind of crazy as well by all accounts.

Bashing women left right and centre. Don't want that scim to pull on a Panthers gersey.

Smith has shown glimpses but it is a huge year for him. Being a Nov 1 player.

He needs to take the next step or I'd go outside the club and replace Fish. Dragons game last year was perfect example of too much plod on the field
