Rumoured & Confirmed Signings (2025 Season)

You can see the warning signs with Terrell. The carry on after not being picked for Origin gives away a fair bit. I'd say there were serious issues behind the scenes that the Roosters didn't disclose because they didn't want do lasting harm to his career. Not necessarily headline grabbing issues (drugs, violence, etc), rather things like personality issues, motivation, trouble integrating etc, that made him too big a risk to their culture. Plenty of red flags with Taylan too, even discounting the DV charge.

I'm with @betcats. Those two definitely have another early sacking in them. Will be weapons in SL afterwards though.

I made a comment earlier about them being a bit like a travelling circus. They manage to limp from one crisis to another.

Good footy players no doubt. But there is underlying stuff there in the background.

Could go either way. Terrel is weird cat, but apart from whatever made us f**k him off I don't recall him doing much wrong. The Chooks let him go for a reason, but it's possible because he is just a weird cat, kind of like the Cheese not fitting in there.

If he keeps Taylan in check it will be good thing for them, if Taylan gets in his head then it could go the other way.

Both are bloody good players, so well worth the risk.
Terrel was dropped to St Marys for not putting in for the Panther under 20s. As a Minchinbury Junior, Terrel said he would burn the St Marys jersey before playing for them. Panthers said "see ya later".

He's said when he was younger he wasn't really taking footy or training seriously because his dad took it so seriously in the way he was training his kids that he got over it but I think there was a specific incident that got him the boot.

Ben Gardiner is a high chance to move over to the Bears and potentially be positioned as Mal ‘s successor from ‘29.

He would essentially be “coaching” the club from ‘27. If it transpires, unsure of implications of Panthers signings but as I mentioned months ago, there’s a verbal from power brokers to not raid Penriths juniors like Phins did. However, surplus players off contract ie Cole, is another story.

Ben’s front runner for the AC job. Plenty water to still pass under the bridge though.

Not sure why there's any animosity towards a guy looking to take the next step in his career. He's behind a goat contender coach here who isn't going anywhere, being part of a startup in a new state would be a hell of an experience. If he goes, best of luck to him.

It's petty to hold someone chasing their dreams against them.

I don't have a problem with a coach or player for that matter who genuinely wants to further their career. Especially when there is a log jam here at Penrith.

It's the continual 'offering overs' so to speak to entice players (who are already entrenched within our top squad) and coaches away that sticks in the claw.

We are always going to lose players, sometimes simply because we are good merkins like with Fish.

The issue is our recruitment probably hasn't been what it should. Our 2 "BIG" signings Blaize and Ipap have only been like 6.5/10.
Players should be falling over themselves to play in this side with Nathan Cleary and Yeo

Paps and blaize have both shown goods signs. I think this time next year we will really start to see casey and blaize blossum.

Hopefully paps kicks it up a few more notches as the season goes on..
