To be honest, I’d rather lose Garner than Hassett.I'd say it's arrogance from Ivan if we let him go
I liked Hassett's single half a game in first grade but surely the club would like a bigger sample size before making such a call.To be honest, I’d rather lose Garner than Hassett.
Hassett will take Garners spot on the bench next season. No problem.
it’s a tough call
I mean, we could use a prop and he is starting to look like one...Don't worry guys, I had a super vivid dream last night that we signed Selwyn Cobbo. He'll fix everything.
Easy tiger.Starting to get a sinking feeling that 2020-2024 was more of a fluke than some deep fundamental change in how the club is ran.
"It's great that you have this interest and I've loved being a part for your progress but I'm sorry Luke we need you for 2026"Garner came here on a small deal. I think he confirmed that publicly.
I imagine he is getting bigger offers now. Parramatta have lost Cartwright and Matterson/Lane are nowhere so he would be a good fit there. New franchises incoming. This is Garner's pay day contract.
I imagine Fifita playing the Panthers and Roosters last year has damaged his stock with most clubs.
If he's willing to f**k over Uncle Nick and the three peat premiers he rug pull any team.

Come on make the smart call you chumps
He's UNDER contract for 2026. Who gives a f**k what anyone else is offering.Garner isn't getting offered Martin/Papali'i money in the backrow at Penrith. Other clubs like Parra are desperate and will offer more coin.
If it's a real rumour then I'm sure we will have something lined up. Won't be empty handed.

Yes we continually play the nice guy for reasons, its sillyWe don't play ball like that. And it's Luke Garner not Nathan Cleary.
If we recovered from losing Kikau I'm sure will recover from losing Garner.

Letting our greatest ever prop go home to another country after 10 years I can get behind.4 premierships silly yes. We haven't got many wrong. I'm not very worried about how we handle Garner.
Might be a bs rumour or we might even have something lined up. Need to see how it plays out.
I'm only guessing bur the club must be thinking Armstrong and/or Clarke as the replacements. The club rates both of them very highly and I could see Clarke taking on that utility role.Letting our greatest ever prop go home to another country after 10 years I can get behind.
Releasing a journeyman who's providing the best value for money across the whole club to not even move house.......well nah that's not smart business.

unpopular but id be moving on Sorro and Papali'i before Garner - Garner offers more versatility and actually performed the best of the 3 this season and is probably the cheapest of the lot, we'd have enough to increase his contract and keep him happy as well as increase Clarke/Hassett & Armstrong so they dont get picked off before they play NRLGarner isn't getting offered Martin/Papali'i money in the backrow at Penrith.
