Notice the part in capitals where I said the right player? It certainly f**king isn't Billy Walters

Yeah look i like walters but the idea of bringing in a 32yo plodder who really doesn't offer anything is rubbish.

I think we do need to go after a 9. Kenny i think could play lock when yeo needs a break..

We cant rely on yeo playing 80 every weel forever.

Are there any decent hookers coming through. Cause as good as Kenny is.....over 60 tackles last night....he won't be doing that forever.

Do people think Lindsay Smith should be kept?

He's an Aussie rep and probably wants a rep forward contract.

His jogs to the line in the first twenty are painful to watch.

He has great skill but unlike the great one his tough carries are non existent.
He paces himself to play long minutes and be still be good enough to do his job in defense. If there's an injury he's the guy who who play longer minutes in the middle. He plodded in reggies because he did that. Then he played in first grade and started running hard off the bench. He's still got good footwork so when there's fatigue in the opposition he can plod into little half gaps. In reggies he lacked real punch playing large minutes then started to make an impact as fatigue came into the game.

I think his punch will come as he grows into his body and develops.

Personally I like what he offers.

He looked as comfortable with the ball in hand as we’ve seen him against the Warriors. I don’t see him improving physically or anything but there is a heap of room for improvement in how his ball skills are integrated into our playstyle. Guys being that half second late to commit is what I see ultimately allowing him to take those extra few metres we all would probably like from him as our starting front rower and certainly lock down the track if that’s where we go.

I rate Donoghue too, but hes good enough to just start and play 80 somewhere. Thats the problem with the 14. The better they are, the more likely it is you'll want them to play big minutes in their best position, and pay them accordingly. Manns kind of a unicorn in that he was always a decent player who nobody really rated (therefore cheap), who could play all over the park and has further improved in a good system.
