Rumoured & Confirmed Signings (2025 Season)

2003 we had a single Origin player.

Canberra have had a great regular season with minimal representation.

Origin may improve players but it likely doesn't improve their clubs chances...

Just had a look on project now:

Besides Lang and Ross our pack didn't have many injuries. Smokin' Joe and Big T played 25 matches. The spine had a very good run too. Gower and Campbell didn't miss a game all season. Wesser and Priddis only missed 1 game each. Everything just came together that year.

I wonder what would have happened if Girds didn't injure himself round 1. Preston started the year on the wing. John Lang might have persisted with Girds in the 6 and its a different season for us.

Paints an even better picture than I could of.

Even just broadly across a top 30. Guys who don't play Origin give you more game time over the entire season. Arguably a bigger ROI.

Origin is another level. Had to have helped Cleary when he debuted in 2018. So its not all bad.

But the length of the season is the key here. We are adding x2 teams with no announced changes to season length. I'm under the impression it won't shorten until team 20 arrives. So 2030?
It needs to be shortened before then. As players get bigger, fitter and stronger the game intensity goes up. Maybe it’s just me but if you were to look at the number of soft tissue injuries this season it seems to be the highest it’s ever been. No data to back that up, just feel that every side has been the victim of soft tissue injuries far more frequently this season, and especially for players that would regularly be in their club’s top 17.

Will cost the NRL some cash. I doubt they so it.

Maybe when the next team arrives. That way they can lose a round or two and keep the same number of matches.

You know I was the one who come up with the name Reece lightning.... I used to call him it with a mate and my mate used to post on the old Panthers chat site.
Are you sure you would have been about 10 then still waiting for the balls to drop
