Would really like to see Blaize take up some more kicking in general play to be an alternative to Cleary, who takes responsibility all the time. He appears to have a decent kick in his kit bag that I believe we should be developing. We need plays like this to mix up our game. You must be constantly tinkering your game to keep the opposition guessing.

Yeah he should be kicking more from 50m out and work on his short grubbers from 10m out.
Nath can handle the rest at this point

Agreed, i think we put him on training wheels during the finals tbh i feel like he was doing a bit more of this during that run of wins we had in the season.

In his highlights on Youtube he does quite a bit of ball playing close to the line. Its only in NSW cup but its something different. Could prove to be very useful.

Turning 29 soon so he would be a late bloomer. I usually back younger players to win out early in the pre-season but by the end of the year sometimes its the more experienced/hardened players who find their way into the squad.
Only NSW Cup you say!

Some of the Cup sides in the last few years would beat the bottom 3 or 4 NRL sides consistently.

Compared to the Queensland Cup rubbish that we have witnessed in recent years, the NSW Cup is rather strong.

It's probably the main reason Melbourne Storm has chosen the NSW Cup as they are finally putting their reserve grade in their club colours instead of the last 25 years of rent a reserve grade.

Its not really a slight. Just reality.

I watched highlights of Going in NSW cup. Good on him if he can replicate it first grade next year.

Had a chuckle yesterday when I saw that Adam O'Brien could be going to the Dogs as ATTACK coach

To be fair some coaches are good at a smaller role like that but not good as the head guy.

For the rest of the thread good to see the club go after some of them NZ forwards they seem to be the goods and we lack forwards bad.

I hope the rumours Kalani Going is right. Have watched him play many times in NSW Cup and he seems a cut above that level. The fact we need to replace most of the NSW Cup team also suggests he could be a good value signing that is capable of a bit part in First Grade.

He’s ok, but you think he would have made it by now if he was going to.

M

maybe just need the right system for him.Sorrenson was going nowhere arrives at Penrith works wonders for him
Sorro was a fair bit more established by the time he was in his late 20’s. Cody Walker is probably a better example, but he doesn’t have that natural ability.

I’m not against signing him, but I wouldn’t be expecting more than a solid / good cup player.

TITANS EYE PANTHER

The Titans are keeping an eye on fringe Penrith back Jesse McLean.

McLean, brother of Panthers gun Casey, has been unable to secure a permanent spot in Penrith’s top NRL team.

The 20-year-old has only managed four NRL games across the past three seasons, but the Titans believe he is talented enough to play consistent first grade.

McLean is contracted to Penrith until 2028 but could seek an early release if he finds an opportunity to feature in the NRL regularly.

The only reason to keep Jesse is to keep Casey happy really.
