Also French rugby will only pay while he is playing - another season or two like 2014 for Hayne and he has an NRL job doing something in league for life.

well we signed him not that long ago

So did Souths.

The fact is he is at his peak now. He is still a better player than plenty of young players with more potential, plus he is happy to join a roster as a backup whereas a young player with more potential is more likely to want regular first grade.

Every roster needs backups, and they can't all be 21 year olds with rep potential.

Good analogy.

It's a great place to visit, but I'm not sure I would want to live there long term.

Would depend on your job and where you lived. There are places that would be great and then there are places that are like the 3rd world and would be absolutely scary to live in.

Workd in both Chicago and New York in late 80s and early 90s, at the time Chicago was the better place , Now Chitown is scary violent, and New York is much better

Happy to live here and visit when I can afford it, but even though I had the opportunity to work there more permanently, pleased I didn't do it. Despite the bitching we go on with, still the best place to live , without doubt

Meh.

Hunt already needs to become an extreme statistical anomaly to be a squad player who is capable of stepping on the field and contributing in a positive way for any club.
Nobody has ever made as many errors in their debut for a new club as he did, and then gone on to have a career as a viable top 25 squad player.

He is done. We waited the required amount of time before flicking him so that it didn't seem callous (the whole neck injury thing). His best bet would be to find an England gig.

Too bad he isn't being paid as a back up.
