50% retained I reckon.Tupouniua would be ok if the Roosters paid a chunk of freight.
They want to stack their squad with back rowers, make them pay for it.
He's a decent player but he isn't an elite player like Angus. On his day he's a destructive ball runner but he drops the ball a fair bit, has some bad reads in defence, knocks himself out making tackles going low more often than most. He has the potential to be a top of the line second rower with freakish ball running but he's much less well rounded than Gus.Blade did say contracted and non contracted players are on the radar so they'll be considering better but at least he's an option and people seem to rate him.

He's closer to Garner than he is to Liam Martin, Crichton, Olakau'atu, Kikau, etc. Probably has a lower floor than Garner too.

Hmm honestly i cant help but feel this might make it hard to sign the next bloke who comes up. Hopefully rorters re-sign Chrichton and thats it for forwards. Anyway something feels suss with Fifita, why opt out then decide to stay? was he just pushing for a pay rise?
Bingo! So much for wanting to win premierships!Comes across like he was using the Sydney clubs to get more from the Titans.
