Glad you enjoyed it - I’ve been a lot over the years and its only drawback is the isolated location.
You can get cheap tickets these days flying into the likes of Busselton etc and highly recommend a trip.
Fantastic lifestyle, restaurants, breweries and of course beaches.
From a NRL perspective, the Reds were a fizzer from a locals point of view, but they were out and about and more of a novelty.
Imagine being at OBH down In Cottesloe and seeing Mark Geyer drunk punching on with a local. That was the scene back in the day.
Can only improve from there.
Edit - they are playing out of HBF stadium as well - which will be undergoing upgrades - damn better ground than our shit hole, even before the upgrade
Yes - with my new job, I’ll be going over once a year for the foreseeable future.
I’ll take my wife next time and add a week’s rec. leave to the week of meetings.

What are the clauses like on Luai's contract? There's your win at all costs, not scared to give his own players a serve if they deserve it, Ennis/Maloney type player.

I said a few years ago that I could never support that bloke, even if he joined the Sharks… I’ve changed my mind - you’re bang on the money!

We have 2 of the best wingers in the game in Ronnie and Katoa - even though Ronnie has started to really give me the shits recently, his output is still generally very very good. There’s very few wingers I’d swap either Ronnie or Katoa for, and I’d not want to pay big money for a reserve winger. So whilst I’ve not been impressed by him really, while ever Shitstreet is on low money, he’s an adequate reserve.
Young would be a waste of money. He won’t get a wing spot, and he ain’t taking Iro or Ramiens spot (though I will say, on current form, if Katoa was fit, Ramien is the weakest link in our back line - though he can be great).

Agree with all that. Funny cause Jesse was a beast last year and while he’s not playing badly…he’s not dominating like he was. I do reckon that KL is on his way to being one of the best centres in the game if he continues on his current trajectory over the next couple of years. Love his attitude too.

I think Ramien was carrying a bit of an injury at the start of the season. Seems to be slowly getting his mojo back. I think also he misses not having the Tongan Fisherman outside him. They definitely have great chemistry together.

Ramien had a tuff offseason with his young one. All the travel wouldn’t have helped him either. Couple more weeks till he gets to spend 95% of the rest of the season sleeping at home each night will see a big improvement imo.

To be honest as fans we can be very brutal to players. We don’t know about issues off the footy field or players playing with an injury and the Club not publicising it.

I'd forgotten all about that. You raise a very valid point.

Yep…. Certainly provides some context behind a drop off in form.

We always knew the travel was tough early on, if we can get through with a 50/50 or better win/loss ratio, we should cruise into the finals with next to no travel at the back end of the year.

This comp is here to be won, and we have the cattle to do it, the cattle themselves just need to believe that.

Chimp they just need to be more connected with everything they do. Especially closing out games!
