I wouldn’t be shattered but I want to keep Berrell and Hiroti for depth. Till we have a better replacement hooker atleast
Well, I'm not fussed if those 2 stay either. Just sharing my opinion that there can be money available despite that balderdash story during the week.

There are a lot of good, green options in Flegg and Ball coming through to fill reggies in the next few years.

Yeah there is, but I feel you need those experienced NSW cup players, they help fill gaps and they're also good for the young guys when playing NSW cup.

Hiroti is very handy, can cover all backline positions pretty well if needed and seems happy, though can't begrudge him looking for a full-time gig.

I am trying to think though... Who really needs him? Drags?
Yes, but he seems like such an entitled brat - Drags wouldn't cut it for someone as 'special' as him.

Parra? I reckon Jason Ryles wouldn't want someone like him on the team...
Dogs? I reckon Gus is arrogant enough to think that he can mould him - so my money's on the Dogs. They will then let the cross-eyed ex-Titan wander off into the Super League sunset.

If the dogs let sexton go, neither Galvin or Burton are halfbacks.. they’ll go backwards from where they are
I think they've got a good young bloke coming through at 7 - he played very recently.
That would leave Galvin at 6 and Burton at 4 (where he is better).

The Dogs have Bailey Hayward, who has looked very good every time he has played firsts. He has been filling in for Burton at 5/8.
They also have Mitch Woods whom they have been grooming to be their long term no.7 for a few years now, he's even on their reserves list for firsts this week.
Galvin to the Dogs will put some noses out of joint, ones that have bought into the Gus systems and believed in them.
To me it makes more sense for Galvin to go to Parra.
In saying all that, he'll probably end up at the Roosters. I know it, you all know, the nrl world knows it.
* yes I know about Uncle Nick and Moses, and this is doubtful in this situation, but usually....*

How do they fit him in under the cap?

Parr have a heap to throw at him.

But he will be a dog.

I heard a rumour a month ago and just heard it again from someone else seems very unlikely but I’ll spread it anyway DCE to Penrith for 26 and Cleary to have a gap year in the UK.

First time I saw him I thought "they've found their long term half back".
He looks a real good kid.

I don't know how they'd fit him in tbh.
Maybe Hayward 7, Galvin 6, Burton slides left, Xerri moves right, Critter to fullback.

That's an awful lot of reshuffling to accommodate one player though.

To me it makes more sense for Galvin to go to Parra.

Agreed.

This might happen as well.
All the talk of DCE going there it's a short-term fix.
I don't think the Rooters are looking at that.

But maybe the Dogs are while they wait on Woods to come through.

So Galvin -> Rooters, DCE -> Dogs.

Who the pharque knows?

Galvin to the Dogs doesn’t make sense at all.

1. Because of the young talent that is coming through at the Dogs.

2. Because Burton is playing in his position and doing a good job.

People say move Burton to centre which yes he can play well there. But Xerri & Crighton are arguably the current best centre combo in the league and neither are wingers in the NRL.

People talk about Galvin could play lock/second row. What a load of shyte. The kid is built like a tooth pick.

This just screams of a Club that is greedy and wants to stock pile all the best young talent. Because they have fear of missing out and they don’t want other Clubs to have these young talents.

They talk about the Dogs being a family Club. What a load of horseshyte. You’re family until we find the next shiny toy. They are really becoming the new Roosters.

I posted above Burton left centre, Xerri right, Crighton fullback.

They’re way stronger like that IMHO.

At the moment, yes.
But he’ll end up there eventually.
There is record of him wanting to move on because the Tigs saw that as his natural progression and he wants to be a 6.
It’ll be interesting to see how his career unfolds.

Oh ok yes Crighton could go to fullback.

But I tell you what the defensive reads he makes in the centres they would badly miss that. He has amazing defence and knows how to stifle an attack.

I would really feel sorry for Tracey then. Because he has done an amazing job for them.

Yeah it’d be tough on Tracey. He’s finally found himself a position and been doing a fair job at it.
But if they’re looking to fit Galvin in, Tracey’s the weakest link.

The only other option would be to put Burton to 13.
But I don’t think he has the work ethic for that.

I really hope Parra gets him but the Dogs connection with Galvins’ school coach is concerning. I’d like to play poker with Ciraldo. Judging be his recent presser someone good is coming their way. I’m hoping it’s DCE for a year or two and Galvin to Parra and the Rorters get jack shit. Bred not bought pfttt.

Tracey may find himself at 14 again if Dogs do get Galvin and they do a shuffle with either Critter or more likely Burton to fullback.

I’d be very wary of Galvin - he’s been keeping a dossier of evidence over a substantial period of time that he could eventually use agains the club if he ever wanted to. It’s the strength of that evidence and the damage it would do if read out in Court that has got him his release. My understanding is that it includes historical things that have been said at training, but worse, things that have been said/shared in WhatsApp groups.
You could never fully trust him. It’s a real shithouse thing to do.

It’s possible, but Kurt Man seems to have that role sewn up.

Where’d you hear that?
