Hope soBriton will sign for 3 years.

Have to agree that 675 is a great price, particularly given this is essentially a 4 year deal (3 year extension on his existing deal).675 is a great price for Tricky and for us.
DA will be one of those Tracey/Miller situations where a club tries to upgrade for next year and force our hands. If he is smart he and his management get into a shoot out with WK for the 1 jersey here vs going to the dragons for example and being forced to play 7. His natural game is a runner/work horse/don't over think. He isn't a 7. He could be a really good 1 with his skill set. 6 works too but dragons have Flanno jnr and he isn't a 6 or a 7 but not going anywhere.
Nikora next.
Thought I heard cam was basically done at 2 years. That’s ideal if trueHave to agree that 675 is a great price, particularly given this is essentially a 4 year deal (3 year extension on his existing deal).
I have no doubt Tricky could have attracted much bigger offers right now from some of the shitty clubs - I think it’s a fair price for him today, but in 2 years time, I’d expect (or hope) he’ll be worth way more than that. And if it turns out he is playing like a $1m dollar player in 2 years, it gives us the opportunity to re-look at his contract, negotiate an even longer extension (at a better price for him) without any competitors driving the price up further.
Great work all round!
Also agree, now is the time to lock up Brit. Tricky and Brit are the 2 untouchables of the off contract bunch as far as I’m concerned. The rest are replaceable (to varying degrees), and I wouldn’t be up for getting into a bidding war and paying overs for any of them.
in terms of predictions, I had started writing it, but hadn’t pressed post - I had Tricky down as signing on, but us having to pay overs - so I got that wrong.
I think Brit will re-sign, but we’re going to have to pay top dollar for him.
Ronnie - will command big money elsewhere and our offer will be significantly lower than what he can get elsewhere. Think he goes. Unless he really does love the place as much as he makes out.
Teig - will stay. Doubt he attracts many offers over his current market value. Stays - 2 year deal
DA - Would love him to stay, but I’m sure a shitty club will offer him good money. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a basket case club offer him similar money to what we’ve got Tricky for. Think he goes.
SS - Stays. 2 year deal.
Cam - Stays. 3 year deal, reducing each year. Could earn more elsewhere, but will stay.
Hopefully - though I hope we’ve not spent silly money on him. He’s a terrific bloke, leader, workhorse…. But the big dollars need to be saved for game breakers.Thought I heard cam was basically done at 2 years. That’s ideal if true
Agree, but there are some out there that want him gone. I think that’s crazy. We need leadership in the pigs. AFB is a great player, but I’d love McInnes around for a couple years to really push the standards so it can all come together.Hopefully - though I hope we’ve not spent silly money on him. To be fair, I have said he might have to be one of the sacrificial lambs in order to create space for a superstar, but I certainly don’t want him gone - I can’t believe anyone would want him gone.Agree, but there are some out there that want him gone. Pretty sure Cams first contract was pretty modest (450k if I remember). Wouldn't think he'd be expecting an upgrade for his final contract. Loved Tricky's comments about not going anywhere and loving the place. Similar to what Ronnie was spruiking last contract time. With DA....depends if he's happy being a squad player rather than a starter. Being so adaptable means he will get plenty of opportunities through injury and suspension. Hope he stays. Reckon Bomber may try and entice Teig to the tigers but I can't see a massive turnover. Seems to be a content bunch buying into Fitz's grand plan.Hopefully - though I hope we’ve not spent silly money on him. He’s a terrific bloke, leader, workhorse….
