2012....Sharks Year

WK will get first crack as the incumbent assuming he resigns for 1 year on reduced coin. They played their cards by resigning Ison before Kennedy before he did his acl. Clearly Ison is seen as the future. In his defence… WK has probably been our third best this year behind B2 and AFB.

Chevy Stewart to the Dargons?
Do they know they will be getting another Sharks junior who is just not up to it, aka Kyle?
Probabaly not.
None of them ever mention trying to get Jesse Colquhoun, who is a genuine Illawarra junior and making a real claim to be in our starting 17 every week, even when the injured come back.
But that's the Goons for ya.

Ison was already earmarked to take Will's spot in 2025 or 26. The knee, and Will's form, have delayed that process.
I suspect a WK signing for one year to be taking place soon and he to be at Perth for the season after.

Chevy isn’t really an addition to the NRL squad.
As a cheap back up maybe.
He was tried in NRL and wasnt ready or had peaked. He was a big signing for the raiders

The small sample I've seen to judge both Chevy and Ison makes me wonder if either of them are ever going to make the grade tbh.

Much as I want to see the squad refreshed I think its the safer option to keep Kennedy.

Off season see if there's any musical chairs between clubs that could see Ramien and BHU moved on and replaced.

Spot on JC - he was never going anywhere, particularly the Dragons. Vomit. Heritage for some mean everything

I'm of similar mind. Ison looks to have ability but fullback needs real magic to be a difference maker at NRL. Hoping to be proven wrong.

Big fan of this. They have both been well below average this season and, like the rest of the team, have had free passes despite it. Getting them out would be great to clear some cap space as well.

Raiders probably had to move Chevy there team is winning they would have to upgrade a truck load of players, they also have Sanders in lower grades.
There would be some give in there squad.

Stewart asked to leave
He has Kao Weekes in front of him, only by a season ending injury to Weeks will he ever get a spot there.

According to the DT, BHU and Sifa are being granted permission to talk to rival clubs.

I feel for Sifa, he was re-signed on decent dollars but the reality is we're not getting value from him because of the limited minutes he plays (which doesn't appear to be his fault). He's not getting any younger either and definitely his days at centre seem to be done.

I can't remember whose suggestion it was, but it would have been nice to see him trialled at 13.

BHU should certainly be shopped. How the coach uses Sifa is just strange. He is a perfect utility but also needs a clear role.

My assumption is that they have gotten bigger offers at other clubs (possibly SL) and have asked the club if they can talk to them

Sifa would slot into most clubs.
He's not your broncos or rooster type player but he will have a very good career under a good coach. Bellamy would make him a premiership winner.

Imagine letting guys a guy like him go who a really makes an impact in attack and keeping captain mcplod who a draught horse in a Group 1.

Wherever he ends up hope Sifa lines up opposite Nicho.
