Before I read that article I had a look to see who wrote it.
Read and Caryannis.
Both Goon fans who never get anything right about the Sharks.
It wouldn't surprise me if they did get BHU's name from someone, as that's been obvious for a while now, and also "plus one of their current centres" as an add on.
Ramien has been the whisper on some people's lips, which is way more believable than Sifa.

Doubt Sifa goes anywhere . I’ll personally drive BHU to wherever he wants to go. Jesse is expendable. Other than last year he’s been pretty underwhelming overall. AFB has been busted for the last couple of months. Wouldn’t surprise me if they rested him this weekend or they might try and get him through to the bye. Need to have him as close as possible to 100% for the semis. Read and Caryanis pffft.

How long has Mooney been back? Wasn't he the salary cap whisperer or was this all done before he returned.

Was obvious 3 years ago this side needed new faces yet here we are
The squad has been purpose built to challenge for a comp now. Core of the squad came up together, have 80+ NRL games with a couple of key additions. Big focus on developing and retaining talent.

The annoying thing is the comp is wide open when our lot decide to go backwards.

Players who have peaked and don't offer enough leadership wise to justify pay packets will have be moved on. BHU is obvious. Ramien has been poor this season and their are other options at centre coming through.

Hynes contract is millstone given length and amount. Brailey will get an upgrade and they will need to fix fullback.

Trindalls contract is nearly as much of a millstone now too
On fairness to the timeing of signings of our halves, both deserved upgrades.
Hynes had 2.5 years of playing pretty well and was going to be sort by more than a few clubs. The length of his deal is the real killer.
Trindall had also been playing very well and there were clubs all round sniffing at him.
We probably got him for his correct price but others were offering more, he owed us because of his discrepancies, so we got him "cheap".

The fact that there isn't any real sign of cohesion between the two after all this time isn't their fault, the coaching staff haven't sorted it out.

Hynes had played well for a couple of years, doubt anyone could foresee the form drop off he's had.

Trindall got lucky having a purple patch of form when he did, playing like an absolute dud now.

The combination hasn't worked and likely won't work into the future you'd think bar the odd trick shot play. Both of them love a dropped ball or shit pass under no pressure too.

It's timing and sliding doors.
I think all of us were prepared to see how it went, as per the narrative that Fitz had going in the pressers "only played so many games together"
Then there was the push for Tricky to be the man, which was following the media via Joey Johns.
Me personally? I would have really liked to see what a Hynes/Metcalfe combo would have come up with. Unfortunately Lukes continuous injuries, and a higher offer, pushed that story to the Wahs.
Or maybe se what a Tricky 7, Nicho 6, combo looked like.
Once again, not their choice, the coaches make the end decisions.

Let's hope Pollard is the real deal

Only thing that would make sense is if Sifa has an offer we can't match and wants to leave. I have heard from good sources about how much Fitz loves him. I don't want to lose Sifa at all.

Sifa and BHU walking out the door would free up 1 million plus in cap room though. You wouldn't be freeing up the space unless you had something planned.
