Keeping Berrell is fine because he’s happy to play for the Jets and just be a backup. Considering how durable BB is, Berrell can probably consider himself unlucky to not have played more NRL.

Berrell stays at the sharks for a year, might get 2 years at the bears as a cheap spine option so they spend more on the 1,6,7

So Metcalfe has had an injury savaged career with us and the Warriors.
He displayed some great talent for 6 months this year, and glimpses in his previous years when he could get on the field.
That is the basis of a $1M per season player in the NRL these days?
Sounds pretty sweet for him.

I've got a lot of time for Metcalf as a player but man those injuries make it a big gamble to build a team around

pretty damning stats really.
He played well in the home game vs Sharks this year, one I left with 30 mins till full time.
A distant memory for him now really. His tomfoolery with a new contract is reminiscent of Lichaa back in the day.

Yeah I think someone hit a time glitch during covid. I still remember being upset when he left at the end of 2017 to go to Manly.

Wish he made the 1 jersey his own over WK a few years back.
