Agreed, and then the rest I am comfortable with losing. I suspect Sifa might attract some big offers from Perth, Dragons, Knights type clubs.
I’d throw the kitchen sink at Sifa if I was Mal and the Bears. I don’t think Dragons will - they have other weaknesses in their roster to fill now they have Keon coming over.

I think exactly the same on the Perth front, and I assume that’s what they will do, especially now they’ve missed out of JC.
If I’m Perth, I’m looking at Sifa and first and foremost he’s a beast, he seems like a real good character (quiet, no BS, no ill discipline) and a significant upside is the versatility he provides. In a team that’s going to be a bit thrown together, having someone who will provide consistent high quality whether you stick him in the middle, 2nd rower or centre is super valuable.

Really feel like that we will see the back of WK, Toby, Jesse and at least a few more after this season as I’m sure that JC got a pretty handy upgrade
WK and Jesse seem very likely given the players we have coming through.

Toby I think we might keep. Or atleast we will keep one of BHU or Toby and would prefer Toby stay personally

Can’t see Sifa or many islanders moving to the west coast, they are very entrenched in their family and culture to pick up and move.
It would take a lot of extra money or opportunities that aren’t on the table on the east coast to move.

So only JC and B2 signed until 2030.
I like the strategy being played out.
Fitz and Moons have solidified their foundations, built the walls and put on the roof
Let's see what decorations they have in mind for the next phase.

That is true they are the only 2 signed until 2030 but lets work back

2026
Jayden Berrell, Billy Burns, Braden Hamlin-Uele, Tuku Hau Tapuha, Blake Hosking, Sione Katoa, William Kennedy, Cameron McInnes, Hohepa Puru, Niwhai Puru, Jesse Ramien, Toby Rudolf, Sam Stonestreet, Siosifa Talakai

2027
Michael Gabrael, Liam Ison, Oregon Kaufusi, Briton Nikora, Riley Pollard, Teig Wilton

2028
Addin Fonua-Blake, Thomas Hazelton, Ronaldo Mulitalo, Braydon Trindall

2029
Nicho Hynes, KL Iro

2030
Blayke Brailey, Jesse Colquhoun

Plus there is a tooooon of young players on deals through this period. Development contracts etc.

Nikora Williams – 2027
Tom Dellow – 2027
Alex Challenor – 2027
Xavier Cacciotti I think is end of 2028.

Interesting stuff. We have locked down a really good balance imo. The only other clubs with players singed until end of 2030 are;

Titans
AJ Brimson
Keano Kini

Storm
Jerome Hughes

Eels
Isaiah Longi

Bears
Liam Henry, Sean Russell

NRLPA have f**ked the system imo.

This ‘progressive’ rebuilding of the team looks the way to go. But I’m worried about the sides like the Roosters who have really strengthened their team. The top eight will be harder in 2026.

Interesting how the NRL deal with Lomax.
I’d love a swap for Noodles / Ronnie’s extra cap relief money on a 1 year deal. Then he can go elsewhere.

It's actually a good shout, would absolutely strengthen us for the year... It would most likely cost you SS though

I’d take him in a shot - for all he’s clearly a different cat, his performances (since being put on the wing) have remained consistently very good, he certainly doesn’t appear to let the off field stuff impact his performance.
