Ilias is and has always been a terrible footballer. Sanders at 21 with like 2 games of FG is already a much better player.
Fogarty ain’t no Reynolds either.
I wouldn't say Ilias is terrible. Just that he is average. Which in today's vernacular is worse.

Really, for Souths, the real choice back then was lose Walker or Reynolds and hope a promising junior works out. Walker was flying at the time (Dally M 5/8 of the year).

He's gonna go from maybe the best forward pack in the league to one of the worst
I dont think its gonna go well either
This is the crux of it. Can he play behind a beaten pack? Olakuatu on an edge is largely irrelevant if the middles cannot get on top and this is clearly Manly's achilles. For all Paseka's potential he can't string a full season together.

Fogarty is a solid halfback no doubt. I’d take him at Newcastle in a heartbeat.

But Sanders looks a very good prospect and will end up the better player. The Raiders have made the right choice.
That's my feeling too
Fogarty has a nice high floor right now, but Sanders has a ceiling that is worth betting on.

I like Fog a lot, but we didn’t really skip a beat when Sanders deputised against the Roosters.

Small sample size for sure, but I think the team is set up well for the future.

I’m much less enthusiastic about the prospect of Mooney leaving, I rate him highly, but he’s a first grader playing at a club without an open spot, especially if Papalii sticks around another year.

interesting times.

Who ever gets Mooney is going to get a genuine gun IMO
I think we're going to get to 2028 and wonder if one extra season of Papalii was worth losing the sort of player i expect him to be by then.
Very disappointed if we lose him.
And i think we will lose him and frankly should, because he's not been given the opportunities here that IMO he's earned with the football he's playing in Cup and the potential he's shown in FG so far.

He's probably going to end up in Newcastle, he's gonna be good and i'm going to hate it.
Hopefully some inoffensive can jag him instead so i can continue to root for him

Yes.
We are just stacked.

Ata may have the same impact or Noah Martin will be what I think he can be on edge or middle and yeah... can't keep them all and we seem to want to bridge Fog - Sanders with a Papa overlap. That's cool.

There's a name to keep a watch out for - Very talented young man with good head on his shoulders

Eels junior. Hoping Ryles is paying attention tbh.

While I could easily see Mooney at the Knights (I could see him having a bit of a Leo Thompson type progression once he finally get a chance), I reckon he’ll end up at Parra or Dragons to be closer to home. Knights also only have 1 top 30 spot for next year and we want a hooker (unless we can off load a back). Souths could use him too.

My sources have indicated that the Sydney Roosters are chasing world famous Japanese / Australian superstar centre Gehamat Shibasaki, who once played for the PM XIII.

If the Brisbane Broncos do not offer Gehamat the upgraded contract that he deserves, they will lose him.

An outside back was our main squad hole- with Hoppa probably cooked after 3 ACLs you need someone with a higher ceiling than Jed so good pickup. I was worried Rickster would buy over the top of his kid but he's kept it real. handy pickup.
