Will Pryce has been released Immediately to return back to the UK. I wonder if that opens some space to potentially get Brown Early.
Doubt it unless we can release Brailey or HastingsBest of luck to the lad! We really planning on bringing Brown early then?
Well yes, but also Browns asking price for this year is also coming down at the same percentage as Pryce and Hastings as we move through the year and their contract year gets smaller. If Pryce and Hastings wages cover Browns wages for this year - and I believe they do with change to spare actually, then it doesn't matter that we've paid Pryce partially this year, because Brown has also been partially paid. Brown is only on like 900k this year. Hastings Cotnract almost covers it single handedly, you just have to find him a home. We can probably even afford to pay some frieght if necessary.Don’t think it will happen and Pryce leaving early would only mean a partial saving of his $400k payment, that’s small change to Brown🫢
This is the alternate prize, and still great for us.Releasing him now will likely only mean some current players will get front ended so we can make some breathing room for 26 and beyond. Very little chance of getting Brown for 25
We also said in the media mere days ago that we had no room and that we were happy with our squad for this year. A few days later, Pryce is off to England. What we're seeing is positioning/negotiating through the media. Our position is - we don't need to take Dylan right now and we'd need your (Parra's) help to even accommodate him in the cap. I.e - we hold all the cards and have no desperate need.I know ryles shut it down, but we could also add that Parra might pay some his contract to release him early like we are doing with dsaf

Honestly, you can read Gardners comments the other day as "I don't want to piss off our current squad by shopping them around in the papers, but we need you to help with our salary cap position if we're to take Dylan off your hands early". Ryles' position can be translated as something like "we don't want to show our hand publicly and weaken our bargaining position by admitting we would explore options for Dylan right now - or even that we're keen to move him on."
At the end of the day, these negotiations aren't nutted out in the papers. What we hear is the safe line to trot out until a deal is or isn't done. There would 100% be discussions happening - I think both clubs would be negligent if they aren't having this chat actually. Whether it pans out for us or not I don't know.
