Tyrell's a better second-rower than he is centre imo. I believe he's already in our top 25 so he probably wants more money going into next year. Another club can probably afford to give a player who's never played a game above NYC a top 25 contract more than we can/want to.

As these moves for 2017 progress , a bigger question arises for the club

Long time season ticket holders will seek some reassurance about what happens regards
a) seating and cost at ANZ
b) what seating will they receive on return to the new Parramatta Stadium
c) playing roster 2017
d) make up of boardroom and CEO
e) long term future of the head coach

There is probably an opportunity to reduce cost of Season tickets given what Souffs and Dogs fans pay, but they need to get on the front foot in the next couple of months on all the above fronts

Those of us who stayed solid through the 90s until Brian Smith gave the place solid ground are older and now have Foxtel etc , "may you live in interesting times " is a Chinese curse which hangs over the heads of the club and even th NRL administration big time

Fuimaono is a solid under 20's player but seriously where is he going to play in our backline next year and how can you stop him if another NRL club want to give him a chance in their NRL backline? I was always against Jennings coming here. I still think he is the least value player in our club. Very lazy and is someone that has never finished a contract at their previous club. Before anyone thinks we are buying all these new players you must realise that we are paying Jennings' full salary next year. All $700 odd thousand of it.

The media are speculating that the Roosters need someone like Gordon to ease pressure off Latrell Mitchell who they think may burn out before he is ready to play fulltime first grade. I heard a few weeks back and I posted it here that Gordon was told that he would not be re-signed for 2017 even though he was looking to stay. He would be looking for at least $250K which is what French would command assuming he makes a good impression for the remainder of the year.
