Rumours and Stuff

It’s easier to see in reverse. Like every NRL fan looks at American football and wonders why they don’t lateral after the catch more. American football coaches are a lot smarter than league coaches so they would see a lot.

I've been supporting the Philadelphia Eagles since Chip Kelly's first day on the job.

I think the NFL is just better than anyone at selling the sizzle. Rugby league does a terrible job in communicating and educating the fans about the game.

I just don't see what from a tactics point of view, that the NFL has to offer the NRL. You can't throw the ball forward in league, you can't block for a runner...

If anything the NFL should get some rugby guys involved to help their game out, the tackle technique is shocking in the NFL. Plus the Eagles got a Scottish rugby coach in to help out in short yardage situations, that worked out very well.

Here's a tip, without the PO we would have no control until Drown, or his replacement, makes a decision anyway. Last time Moses re-signed he was announced in round 11, with no PO holding him up. How much control did we have then?
The club has publicly acknowledged that moving forward, there will be no more PO’s because it was the wrong decision. Yet you’re still trying to justify it, searching for some silver lining and refusing to hold the club accountable. They f**ked up and admitted it, yet you can’t.

Find a f**king hobby or start pulling your cock more often, you argumentative merkin.

Riccio is reporting Brailey is to be let go. Do you know something we don’t?

This was in the article i noticed.

I get the opinion that the Dogs have already decided they won't extend Reed past 2026.

Bulldogs head of football Phil Gould insists Mahoney is not for sale but it is understood there is every chance he could leave at the end of the season should he find a long-term deal at another club.

Deciding that the club is never going to use a PO is just as stupid as having too many exercisable at the same time.

The club hasn't admitted anything. They are responding to bad press. That's all. What they do in future is based on information they didn't have in the past, and a decision is only as good as the information you have at the time. The only new information they have is that the media will jump on a PO and conflate it with the player being off contract.

Not having player options won't stop players being off contract (and potentially leaving when we want them to stay) in the future. The risk of a PO is that the player will stay when we want them to leave. Offering contract extensions to 'remove the PO' does absolutely zero to mitigate that risk. If you're offering an extension (and the player accepts) then he is staying for sure. If you later change your mind and want him gone then you will need to deal with it in the same way as if he had activated his PO when you wanted him gone.

Didn’t Moses re-sign on the day of the round 4 Panthers game ? We were 0-3 going in and he kicked the winning field goal and made money signs . BA culture right there .

I don’t know what you mean by this exactly, but Americans love American football at all levels not just NFL level. RL is way less popular at all levels than AF.
It’s not about salesmanship they just kept polishing the game, thinking about the game play, staying ahead of the coaches, so it stays a great battle between D and A with big plays deciding the outcome.
One problem with league is how little area the defence has to defend. They just get to park the bus.
