Not sure what he is on and I know it wont have come cheap, but realistically this is a massive endorsement for Ryles, given that I know for a fact Isaac Moses was over dealing with BA very early on in the Blaize saga last year.
I know for a fact that managers don't deal with the coach, not at our club or probably any other club. We have an entire football staff, including a GM football. Why the f**k would any coach be stuck dealing with player managers ffs
It seems people who are prepared to look past BA are seeing the potential future for the Eels with Ryles at the helm!
It seems you're trying to blame absolutely every failure of our club on one person. He is conveniently no longer here so you can kid yourself that we are now the Penrith Panthers. Maybe we gave a bunch of Moses' salary to his new dad Jason Ryles, whose salary is entirely outside the cap?

Maybe I would say he is on 1.2 now with a percentage increase per season to go with the salary cap increase.

He isn't an idiot he wants to win a premiership and taking all of the cap space won't help that cause.
It could be that his reward comes in 2029 when he is 35 and there wouldn't be huge demand for him. He could be on massive overs in the final years of his contract in exchange for being reasonably priced in 2025 and '26.

Not in my eyes. This shows MOSES is impressed with the new coach and confident in his ability to bring a title. Extended and removes POs
If he had bad vibes from Ryles there is no way he does this. He keeps his POs

So no not trolling at all. It's just your mind set and assumption/paranoia
He had one PO and it was for 2027-'28. Now he has extended to 2029 so yes, he has kept his PO. Plus added a year.

He extended when BA was here as well, so that means nothing.
He didn't 'remove' the player options, he simply signed a new contract, most probably for more money. Now he gets extra years + more money so there's no need for POs.
ffs
People on here keep complaining about there being arguments about BA that keep going in circles in this forum...well if he wasn't needlessly brought up every five minutes it wouldn't happen.
They do keep bringing him up.

Say whatever you like - I’m pretty secure in my knowledge of the dynamic between Moses management and BA.

I'm sure he didn't like Brad Arthur because of the way he advocated against some of that manager's players, but that doesn't mean the manager was dealing with him personally. Again, it's not the job of the coach (or the manager) to negotiate with each other.

Is it really bad news if Dylan pisses off

What has the bloke done for Parramatta that makes him so special.

He signs a 9 year contract with at least 2 PO's that gives himself the opportunity to milk the joint dry.

6 months after signing that contract he then gets himself pissed during the bye round turning up to the Sheaf in Double Bay off his head gets himself locked up and suspended for 7 games which was the death-knell for that season.

The following year his halves partner goes down and the season turns to ruins.

Then 18 months later post the arrest he wants a f**king upgrade and has done nothing since the arrest to warrant it

Like get f**ked Dylan

I am sorry the bloke is the biggest piece of garbage to run out for the joint in the past 20 years

He has already milked probably 3-4mill off the joint. And what has he delivered???

Other then bad press

It amazes me people like Gronk still want to defend the bloke.
So you reckon the club doesn't want to keep him?

You don't know that. It could be that there wasn't a new contract negotiated, but rather the terms of the existing were amended and ratified.

Chill out.

What they are saying at face value is what has happened with Mitch. Whether or not he signed a whole new deal, effectively the option that was in bis favour has been removed.

Also, be a bit more thoughtful in your assertion that a PO is not a 'get out' option. Without seeing the wording of the option you cannot possibly state it definitively isn't that. It might be.
What we do know is that it lies in the players favour, and therefore effectively DOES give the player the opportunity to leave before the end of the overall contract terms (ie, seeing it as a get out isn't wrong).
The contract was announced as lasting until the end of 2026, with an option to extend to 2028.

If it was a get out clause it would be a contract to 2028 with options to leave before then based on a condition that might never occur, such as the coach leaving, or another player receiving a contract extension.

“The 1st point is we haven’t entered into a player contract that has an option for about 2 years; May 23 was the last time we entered into a contract with a player option.
“Point 2, since that time we’ve signed or retained 22 to 24 players since [then] without issuing POs.

Honestly... how much clearer can it get
