Somehow we can’t sell the advantages of the club, this has been an issue for a few years, after tax etc, even $100k can be absorbed by travel, rent etc. FMD , just so frustrating to see this occur when we appear to have a serious amount of cash available.

Manly have no COE, a so so ground, a coach on the outer and an ordinary forward pack, oh well . Guess we wait and see with little confidence.

If Manly's so bad maybe 'selling the club' isn't a factor. These merkins play for money ffs, especially the ones who've never had any money before. An NRL player's first big contract might be the most important in his career, because it might also be his last. Look at Dunster. Anyone advising a young player wouldn't be fulfilling his duty of care if he didn't tell him to chase the money. Premierships won't set you up for life. You can worry about those after you've achieved financial freedom.

Failing to get TDS over the line isn’t acceptable. It’s an embarrassment if we miss him and are left with re-signing lussick or hands.

I’d consider missing TDS a bigger failure than not landing Galvin
