Why doesn't the club offer POs anymore???? Maybe you can enlighten us, considering you know everything....

We don't know if they don't offer them anymore because the RLPA threatened legal action over them being publicised. But if we are struggling with recruitment and retention since we stopped offering POs, maybe it's not a coincidence.

Beach, in his first public address since succeeding previous chairman Sean McElduff, added: “This is a really important topic. There are three additional points I’d like to make more broadly in relation to player options.

“The first point is we haven’t entered into a player contract that has an option for about two years; May 2023 was the last time we entered into a contract with a player option.
“Point two, since that time we’ve signed or retained 22 to 24 players since [then] without issuing player options.
“Thirdly, we will not be issuing player options going forward.”

We offered Galvin and TDS big contracts after Drown declined his option. Plus we reportedly knocked back Sandon Smith and Adam Doueihi. Don't use the PO as an excuse. Players just want overs to come here, and we refuse to be held to ransom. You can decide whether you think overpaying players is worse than missing out. The club has made its own decision. We are prioritising youth development, and this is what it looks like.

Terrific in attack using his size, speed and passing

Absolutely terrible in defence, unable to harness his size and speed, sets his feet and if the opposition don’t run straight at him, he misses and is really vulnerable close to his own line.

Can we find someone who is good both sides of the ball, Kautoga possibly and Petrus and De Stradis from Flegg.have real potential.

We have arguably the most meh forward pack in the competition, despite occasionally out playing some sides. See what they can pick up ahead of pre season training.
