For middle forwards you need to look at their total contribution rather than their highlight reel. Koloamatangi is a high output forward, over long minutes, which means high value (cost). He's no Payne Haas (nobody is), but he is one of the better middles in the game. Certainly better than Leniu or Junior Paulo. $900k does seem a bit much but with new teams coming in we have increased demand for the same number of players. That's how you get inflation.

Jnr over Keaon every day of the week including Sundays.. .dont get me wrong hes a good player but nothing special and no haven't looked at his highlights reel. I actually watch games and there is nothing outstanding about him. Very solid but no kind of X about him.
