Im sure thats what TDS is aspiring to....being a really good bench player with high minutes.

Yep Im sure that was his decision process when he went to the Eels. "Rylesy can make me the best benchy I can be!"
Anyone who doesn't play 80 minutes is a benchy at some point of the game. Why does it matter if it's the start of the game, the middle or the end?

Da Silva is still eligible for Flegg this year. I'm sure his goal is to become an 80 minute player but there's no rush while we have Plodly Smith to soak up the heavy work at the start of games. TDS gets paid the same either way.

Would think everyone is in the team for their defence.
Some blokes are only in the team for their defence. In attack their job is to take settlers, run decoys and support, and otherwise get out of the way.

Guys like Moses are largely in the team for their attack and kicking game. Blaize Talagi is in his team for his running and playmaking. Penrith puts up with his defence because they need his attack.

Matt Arthur was the coaches son. Who after the coach got the sack went and played with his Dad's mate.
Matt Arthur was picked for NSW U19s, and made his NRL debut after his dad left the club.
Now will be lucky to get a gig in the UK.
Dunno where you get that idea. The Knights only have two hookers in their top 30.

I like Ryley Smith, but never kicked on as expected at Penrith for whatever reason. But he was moving positions regularly from 9, 13 and even a bit in the halves.

Parra might do well using the Panthers method of using a more defensive 9 rather than focusing on attack. Moses much the same as Cleary controls the attack most of the time, so Smith is more than serviceable as a defensive 9 who can distribute the ball. Hope he kicks on.

💯 correct. When the coaches instructions would be to get the ball to halves asap its not like we need Smith to do anything but that.
The more experience he gets and plays eyes up footy he will learn when to run and create space and opportunities
