I know this is directed at Hindy but I would say JAC and he's on the slide side of his career. 7.5/10

I’d take Paulo on a 1 year extension at under half his rate as a bench forward, I think he can still add something when he only needs to play 20-25 a week.

There will be some suitors for Hopgood come Nov 1 so we may need to make a call on him before he plays another game. I think he’s the type of bloke PNG will chase aggressively

Great defender with a below average run game. Thats why he is a 6/10 and wont ever be more.
Guys like Carrigan for example are as good defenders with great running games. Thats why they are 8/9s ....Thats what we need. Not flawed players who are only good at half the game. We can carry 5 or 6 of them. But we have about 12 in our side

Our defence is what’s hurting us, not our attack, so Hopgood is a bigger loss than Walker would be.

Barlaw as a benchy only if he gets a decent haircut. As far as Hoppy is concerned I'd like to see how he pulls up after his season ending surgery before letting him loose in the jungle of the NRL.

I’d say week in week out. Josh Addo-Carr is our best overall player and it’s daylight second. I always liked him but he has shown he is playing in a shit team.

Ionghi is laughable as a 7/10. We have a f**king shit team. Or a team playing shit. Moses is a star but maybe gone too long or lost it. His behaviour is putrid and he’s looking for cheap wins. He’s been a 6/10 to start the season at best.

But highly intelligent people are able to collaborate with others. Share ideas collected/ discussed in a civil mannner. I agree that the succession planning has been diabolical. We’ve lost a lot of players and unfortunately we’re seem to be content with replacing them with merely serviceable players. You can carry a few of them in your squad if they’re surrounded by quality players but you can’t have the majority of the team made up of them. We need to either buy quality players or replace with them juniors who have a potentially high ceiling.

The salary cap and lack of available first graders makes this an impossible problem to solve for most clubs.

hoppy has a very good tackle efficiency but boy hes been there on the field defending while we get cut to ribbons through the middle.

Don't forget his massive work rate. But you need more than one good defender in the middle. You need at least three of them.
