Of our top 17 last night who is leaving?
Are Frank and Semi the only two ? Frank may even stay another year.

And we have Kane Evans coming. Beau Scott, Tepai, Gutherson,Hoffman,Kaysa to come back from injury.
Thats 6 guys who are legit first graders.

It is also very rare our club doesnt have a junior come up in 12mths let alone 24mths. I predicted this year be too full to blood a young guy.
Niakuore,Stone may be smokies. GL shows promise but he is a bit small.

Do we need more signings? I am not sure we do. Players are developing nicely and have a fee jnrs sure to be coming up.

We are in good shape for a few years to come.

If we keep Norman, Moses, Bevan together we will be strong for the next 6 yrs.
Gutherson add to that list. The rest is plug and play and can be replaced.

King's passing to the halves is very crisp.
Defensively he is far less scary than Kaysa - and I'm saying that from the Eels perspective. A couple of times this year Kaysa has been trampled close to the line for a soft try. I suppose there is only so much an 80kg guy can do? But King has that larger frame, is much smoother in attack in terms of service, does enough with his running game to keep the markers honest, and is smart enough to kick occasionally.

Personally I'd have him above Kaysa, but part of that might be because every game I'm sitting there wondering if Kaysa will finish it or not....

Agreed. You can't underestimate the benefit of a flat pass in front of the chest of the first receiver. Andrew Johns specifically commented on Cameron Smith's service and how it is perfect every time on the Sunday Footy Show.

Clean and crisp service gives the halves more space and time in attacking raids and makes it that much easier to get a good kick away on the last. It also allows the halves to stand a bit wider.

Kaysa's passing game (particularly left to right) is not where it needs to be. If he could improve this part of his game then he could become a very good hooker.

Its no coincidence that we have won the forward battle much easier since we have had his service from dummy half.

I wish we'd signed him up before we went on a record winning spree.

I don't think it would be as big of an issue as it seems. It's all about demand. Maybe his former club, the cowboys would consider making an offer, or the Tigers. Apart from that and overseas bids, i'd be very confident.

Yes you need more signings. You can't let a sqaud stagnate (see Raiders and Bulldogs as examples ).

We have some amazing talent in our juniors coming through. If we can get through the next year or 2 I'm confident a few young guys will be knocking on the door
Immediate guys who come to mind

Dane Akafolou - Wing/Centre
GL - Wing
Ray Stone - Middle/Lock
Troy Dargan - Half Back
Jye Challenor - Middle

Other guys who are very bright prospects

Reed Mahoney - Hooker
Tui Afalou - Centre
Dylan Brown Half/5/8
Filia Utoikamanu - Back rower
Stephano Utoikamanu - Prop
Steve Drtessler - Middle
Kyle Schneider - Hooker
Oregan Kafausi - Prop
Joe Tipari - Half/5/8
Vallance Harris - Prop
JP Norah - Full back
Haze Dunster - Wing/Centre
Noel Akafolou - Centre/Wing
Ethan Parry - Centre/Wing
Jesse Cronin - Middle
Matt Doorey - Back rower
William Kei - Centre

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone
But I'm just trying to show we have a lot of great talent coming through - More than any other junior club
Fingers crossed we can keep most of them, But this group of kids are regarded highly bye the club. Hopefully it all pans out and they all continue to develop and become first graders.
