Ricky Stuart will take Mitch's game to the next level.... his track record with halves is unquestionable!

Stuart just signed Sam Williams to come back to the club as back up for Sezer and Austin, and wants Pearce too??? I wouldn't doubt it - it's almost like he's stockpiling halves because he has no confidence in the ones he's got and he uses the backups as a threat/motivation to get his primary playmakers to perform...

Well, the Roosters released SKD and Carter this year for disciplinary reasons. So, you don't have to replace them, and SKD's half-year salary would probably keep him in the Top 25. These terminations would put this year's cap expenditure down a bit.

On decent coin but hardly the sort of money that gives you 650k spare.

Plus they had to bring players into the top 25 to replace them.

They upgraded Napa, Mitchell and Manu as well. All chased by other clubs.

If they are 650k under I’m the f**king Pope.

As I said in my OP. SKD's 50% salary would leave him in the top 25 for this year (even though he left the club).

That's not a problem though, considering we have a bunch of middle forwards who can play long stints.

But it is a problem especially if replacements are reduced to 6, plus he is paid big bucks and does not pull his ample weight in relation to other players.

If the interchange keeps getting reduced of course these low endurance players will be pushed out of the game. That's why forwards are smaller than they were ten years ago.

But right now we have a bunch of high endurance forwards that allow us to use a comparatively high number of interchanges on someone like Vave.

There was talk during the season that Sezer wanted out as well as Austin and talk of unrest between Leilua, Rapana, Austin and others.

Williams has been brought back because of his price basically.

I would believe that this could be the most logical scenario. Cronk is as far as I am concerned a done deal at the Roosters. The television links and Politis links are too strong for any other club.

Seizer and Austin are nrl halves but unsure as a partnership if good enough.
I feel both are perfect half partners if you had a Moses or Cronk running the show. A star half.
Peirce and Austin would make a good combo.

I happen know people who know his family.

Next year he is somehow on almost 400k, which club would take a back up half full freight on that sort of money??
