Next year's the premiership is ours to lose. No pressure, everyone will tip us for the bottom eight. Perfect. I think....So am I the only one excited about 2019?

who are their 7 & 6? ... pearce and who? .... ponga stays at the backhttps://www.nrl.com/news/2018/09/25/knights-sign-lino-from-warriors/
So Mason Lino goes from being backup half at the Warriors to a backup half at the Knights... Strange move
Fairly sure the raiders could have used his services now Austin is in the UK...

Ponga will be 5/8 sometime next season if not the start.
Tim would probably be a good forwards coach. You might criticise his play and lack of offload but you can never criticise his commitment and toughness, He has never shirked the tough stuff and is a good tackler. Imo has much to teach the younger guys and is a good clubman, and has never got into trouble.Tim has been a main stay in our forward pack since he was 21. Playing that many games with his work-rate would take a huge toll on his body. I reckon Tim has another season of regular first grade left in him before we have a couple of guys taking over his spot. Nothing against Tim, he's stuck with us all these years and for a long time was the only forward actually providing us something.
But with his young family would he want to move over to England? Probably not. He'll probably retire once his contract runs out and I hope he wants to stay around the club and we can find him a job. He's the sort of person you want around the club teaching the young guys about what it means to play in the Blue and Gold.

what happens when America catches a cold?
I reckon he will stay at fullback, why wouId you want your best attacking player to swap running for tackling (and a easier target to wear out) and being stuck on one side of the field.

Ffs we have enough issues to sort at Parra let alone sorting out best positions for Newcastle’s team.Because he would still be their best attacking player at 5/8. He is suited to 5/8. The more ball you give this guy the better and who said he should stay on one side of the field? Long term, he should be all over the place. The best don't sit and wait for the ball. As for the extra tackling he will do, he has already shown that he can handle that no probs. So many lesser players then him are playing 5/8, so should it stop him from playing there?
He will be a 5/8 and probably the best in the world once he masters it after a year or two ala Lockyer.

I was thinking the same thing.
Soon we will have newcastle knight nuthuggers
