It worked the previous two years. And in 2018 we brought in Tony Williams, who was carving up until he got injured.
That's why I said in theory it was a good idea, but proof is in the wins column. It's by no means the only reason last year was shit, just like in the prior 2 years it wasn't the sole reason we got some wins

can someone analyse this photo like we analysed the goal-kicking photo last week? Why is Nathan Brown doing a front-flip? or is it a backflip?

In a coaching masterstroke from BA, the eels have been the recipients of the highest number of high tackle penalties ever recorded.

However, they somehow still managed the worst penalty differential.

Unlike your ideas where we won the wooden spoon ay? You praised our team selected for the first game whereas I called it for what it was, a 'poor team'. Keep raving on happy to hear your own voice.
It was the same f**ken team that won 16 games the year before, except Hayne in for Radradra.

Alvaro may go up another level and be a beast of a player at 115kgs or he may be a little slower and even less powerfull with lower endurance. Extra weight doesn't automatically turn him into a damaging hard running forward.

Taka and Auvau played a big part in our go forward of 2017 in the backs and KE was great off the bench. Gutherson and Browns form also played a huge role.
Gutherson didn't look any good in 2018 untill the last month. Brown and Hayne spent half the season injured.

With Guth over the ACL and hopefully a fit Brown also it brings two of our star players from 2017 into the side. Short memories people have. These two where in the top 3 in the NRL in their positions.

I reckon the extra weight on Alvaro is to do with being damaging on the other side of the ruck

Alvaro is a f**ken great player. He's been steadily improving for 3 years and i think that will continue. If he grew a mo or a stupid mullet so he was more noticeable people would start talking him up for origin. ( he's a better player than Prior IMO)

He is a work horse. Not many props average 40 tackles in 40 mins. His hit ups are weak however. But he has developed a pass before the line and an offload which helps his game. The extra weight, lets call it muscle may take his running game up a level. If it does and he is able to keep the endurance he had prior and work more on his passing and offload then he could become elite.
At present his running game makes him just an average prop and nothing more then a hard worker.

Plenty of blokes were down on form last year, including our best players. We only have a shit roster if you consider them to not have been down on form, which would mean they overachieved in 2016 and 2017.

I'd have Gower in my 17 for rnd one. I'd let other guys earn a spot on form not have one on reputation. Gower would be most likely the first one to make way when a guys form is to hard to leave out.
