If we were to change the current finals format I would go with top 5 mini comp.

Team 1 starts with 4 points, team 2 with 2 points and the rest on zero points, and all starting on zero for and against.

They all play each other once. Top 2 teams with most points play each other in grand final

Cronulla Sharks are desperately hoping prop Ava Seumanufagai takes up his three-year offer from Leeds Rhinos, thereby moving a decent wedge off their wage bill, report League Weekly.

The Rhinos are lining up an offer for former Widnes forward Wellington Albert, which was first reported by Love Rugby League last week. Catalans Dragons’ interest in Sam Kasiano could be scuppered by St George Illawarra Dragons Down Under, report League Weekly.

The French club have been heavily linked to the Melbourne Storm prop, who has been offered to NRL and Super League clubs. NRL side St George Illawarra Dragons are reported to be making a move for the Samoa international. Kasiano’s currentl deal with the Storm is believed to be worth around $600,000 .
