That's 5.6 million there, there's no half back and it leaves Boyd at 5/8, the cap for 2020 is 9.8 million, and the minimum wage $110,000, and 22 spots left to fill.
Assuming they re-sign Fifita you would expect it's gonna be minimum at the same price as TPJ $600k, Turpin is off contract, and the Warriors have reportedly made a decent offer to him, Sign him, or replace him with an average NRL half and there's gotta be at least 500k in it
That'd give 'em 10 players taking up 6.7 Million, so 3.1 million left over. Assuming they can run with say players 21 - 30 on minimum, which I reckon would be a stretch and would leave them sorely lacking depth, that'd take up another 1.1 million, leaving them with 2.0 million under the cap to sign players 11 through 20 ( 10 players ) , which has to include at least one first choice centre, two first choice wingers,
Isaako re-signed last year till 2022 ( can't find a price ) , Oates is unsigned but is reported to want 500k ( previously on 375k ) and Staggs is signed till 2020 reportedly on the cheap, but is also getting interest from the Knights and Manly, so if they want to keep him, will likely need some kind of upgrade. I don't think Oates or Staggs would have too much trouble pulling 300k elsewhere, and Isaako was re-signed during a purple patch ( particularly as a goal kicker ) so would not be on minimum.
When you add all that up, they end up with basically all their players outside of their top 17 minimum wage contracts, so no real depth at all . and probably the worst halves pairing in the NRL.
Something's gotta give.
Edit: I forgot Gillett who signed a four year deal last year, there was reportedly interest from other clubs, but he was also injured with a neck? injury at the time, probs wouldn't have been huge dollars, but 300k a year I'd think at the least given he's still an Origin player.
