Hoffman would be a decent signing, good to have a back that can play multiple positions.

If Gutherson's starts at 5/8, we really don't have him as a centre back up any more. Plus who is our fullback, back up if French gets injured ?

Hoffman can provide cover at fullback/centre along with being our starting winger.

No doubt BA gave Kaysa first dibs, but in the the kid was brittle and needs more time to grow into his body. Huge upside, but like BA eased Alvaro into grade, Kaysa needs to be also eased into the big show.

Hopefully both Kaysa and Bevan spend some time in the back paddock in the off season. Alvaro can use some of that lush green grass as well. Massive upside for our rookies.

I really don't think that Pritchard will ever make it as a regular first grade hooker. having swaid that, I think we can go another year with DeGois at hooker and Pritchard as a back-up. I think we'll certainly need to be buying a decent hooker for 2018, though.

I'd say that ship has sailed for Hoffman. That said, with his experience and utility value he won't be cheap. He's probably worth $300k
