Could someone explain this strategy without a gif?
Not one player you reckon? What are you smoking ? There would not be one player that would get a bee in his bonnet over relocating for a month to Darwin or Townsville so that the comp could continue.
Figurative language. Not one player you reckon?
That can’t be right. I have it on good authority that every merkin will be happy to move to the country to ensure the game goes ahead.Uncle Wayne wants to suspend the comp, with the the assumption that Round 1 would be it for the season.

All of the talk so far has been that the NRL will actually provide financial support to clubs rather than sting them.My missus heard/read* that NRL contracts contain a clause for things like pandemics, where if the game suffers a certain level of financial loss that it can pass some of the losses onto the clubs and players. This would create an incentive for players to agree to get f**ked around to ensure the competition went ahead.

Yea I don’t see what’s in it for the country people? We send about 50 people (players and staff) from the city (where Coronavirus is more common) to your town and increase the likelihood of spreading the virus to your town. In return we will train and play there but you can’t come to training or any of the games. Also no fan interaction because we are keeping clear of the public. Will the country folk take kindly to the NRL trying to make them sick?
And how many of those people forced to go there have responsibilities at home? Maybe sick relatives that depend on them. Or kids that need picking up from school or have issues being separated from their parents. Any number of things. And for what benefit? It seems hare brained.Yea I don’t see what’s in it for the country people? Magic round(s) in Darwin for the next month? I’m guessing they chose Darwin because it’s hot???
