Even if we got Hunt, I still think we lack in the backline. That's where the Hoff might be great for us in utility value.
Between Gutho/Semi/Taka/Jennings they all have injuries in their past (as most players do) and our next off the plate are pretty depressing.
BTW If we did get hunt I reckon that pushes Taka to bench and Gutho to centre. Although I think its great to have your best 13 on the paddock I just don't think Gutho is a winger wheras he is a pretty good centre.

Just realised Sam Tagatese is off contract next year and still unsigned. I wonder if we have enquired about him?

I'd take him, similar style of prop to Prior or Parker in that they aren't really props more smaller middle players that are more about footwork and running lines then leg pumping props.
If we were to snag Hunt, The Hoff our backline would be full I'd say but I don't want us to be dropping to much on Hoffman although I've always been a fan.

Same with Matulino, who exactly in our pack are they going to replace? It'd be poor cap management, unless we're over paying Wicks, Vave, Brown, Edwards and/or Scott and can offload them completely (and the only one of them that wasn't recently signed was Scott). Because it certainly won't be Mannah, Moeroa or Mau because I reckon we have them for significant unders.
I reckon we're only really looking at one of half or winger and even then BA is probably willing to wait and see progress on Hunt/Reynolds

Yeah I don't think we really need another top 17 forward unless they are a top liner / leader type forward like a Graham.

But I am sure we will add some cheap fringe forwards to the squad.

Only 2nd tier forwards for mine. We've got 23 at moment. Fogarty may be number 24, so I reckon the last spot will be a winger. Either a youngie to battle it out with Jennings Jnr & Folau or cheap quality to walk into starting spot (getting Hoffman on cheap would be good)

Either that of BA may decide to move Gutherson to fullback and keep French on the wing for another year while he builds up.
