I regret posting the comment. The fact of the matter was that he indicated at one stage that he captained Gold Coast Seagulls, unless I was mistaken, but I doubt it. My late neice was married to a guy who played lowers grades with that franchise. Anthony Amos played during the time Wally Lewis was coach, not that he liked him. I merely asked if Gary knew Anthony as I thought some of Gary's ex team mates may have known Anthony and didn't know of his passing. That was all. Anthony was mates with Scott Sattler, so I contacted him, as I know Anthony would have wanted him to know, and I asked him to spread the word, which he said he would do. It was the comment he made I didn't like. He could easily have just said he either knew Anthony or he didn't. I got Scott Sattler to spread the word of Anthony's death, ( Anthony and Scott were good mates. Given Gary claimed he captained Gold Coast Seagulls where Anthony played, I thought he might like to know, and he would do the same. It is interesting people are dwfending this bloke, but he hasn't actually respinded to my messages.

Well the $$$ is main the drawcard in most cases.

It's just an easier way for players to come out and say they want play under a certain coach so they aren't portrayed as money hungry in the media.

They said on the radio on friday that papali'i has a good relationship with madge because he coached him for kiwis. And the lure of playing under the kiwi coach was one of justifications.

Had to have a laugh madge might not even be there in 2023
