I have quite vulgar language on here. Yet in real life I very rarely swear. I think many of us in here are joking around with each other. And the fact the c word gets changed to merkin is half the joke isn't it? I reckon if the C word popped in most wouldn't use it.

As for “merkin”, over at wt lu we use the term generally as to describe someone as an “ idiot” although often in a humorous vein depending on context and sometimes as abuse

“ Shut up @The Rosco you merkin”

Would be someone telling Rozzes that his point was not agreed to. But no disrespect intended. In fact, it’s a light and friendly comment, endearing, warm and welcoming.

Rozzes replies: “ F…you dickhead” and it’s a signal for a meaningful and happy discussion based on mutual respect.

“Ivan Cleary is a merkin”

Means that the user thinks that Ivan Cleary is a scumbag of the highest order. A lying two faced greedy rat. Not to be trusted. A bad kind of a human being. A selfish self flagellating flip. An idiot son obsessed bonehead sprog of Satan. That’s not true of course and is an honest opinion some may hold. Not me that’s for sure.

So it’s all context.

Will the tigers grow some backbone and make him honour his last year. Or will they cave in just like they did for Matterson and Aloiai in the past 2 off seasons and let him go early.

If he does get released i bet they will be into papali'i for next year with an upgrade to join immediately which we will tell to shove it.

Papa can chase the collision and front load his effort for another 12 months before his paycheck

If that’s the case, then we must have freed up as much cap space in not re-signing Fergo as the Roosters did when he came to us.
